Looking for a great way to dress up blank walls? I found just the thing! I love installing shelves on plain wall spaces because it is the easiest, not to mention, the most affordable, way to extend your small home storage space. It helps if the shelves pull double duty as a décor too!
Today’s DIY project is easy to make using zero tools, I promise! Also, the materials won’t cost more than five bucks. If you’re ready to jazz up your walls, gather the following materials and let’s get crackin’:
You will need:
2 pcs. 3×8″ Marble slabs
2 pcs. Copper plated tubing hook
2 pcs. Leather strip
Heavy-duty glue
Step 1: Assembling the Shelves
Apply a generous amount of glue along the hooked part of the copper tubing. Lay the marble slab on top of the copper and leave to dry overnight.
Step 2: Reinforced Support
To conceal the glued copper tubing as well as to provide extra support, glue the leather strip on top of the glued ends of the copper tubing. Leave the glue to dry for several hours and you’re done!
Step 3: Dress Your Walls!
Once the glue has dried completely, choose a blank wall that needs sprucing up and hang your decorative shelves. I highly suggest making several of these copper and marble shelves to store your knickknacks or organize small items in the home!
